18 months to 3 years
Toddlers.
Busy, curious
and into everything.
Somewhere between one and three a baby turns into a person with strong opinions. Toddlers need room to move, things they are allowed to touch, and a routine steady enough that they know what is coming next. This group is built for that — movement and mess in the parts of the day that suit it, and calm, predictable rhythm around it.
What the day holds
What toddlers actually do here.
-
01
Room to move
Climbing, carrying, pushing, pouring. A toddler who has moved all morning is a toddler who eats and sleeps properly in the afternoon.
-
02
Words, and lots of them
Naming things, singing, reading the same book for the fourth time. Language explodes at this age and it is driven by how much a child is talked to.
-
03
Toilet training, when they are ready
We work with you rather than to a deadline. Tell us where you are up to at home and we keep it consistent here.
-
04
First lessons in sharing
Taking turns is genuinely hard at two. It is taught patiently, over and over, and it is the beginning of everything social.
Practical
Times, and how to start.
The centre is open from 06:30 every weekday. Registration for 2027 is open, and spaces in each age group are limited — so the useful first step is simply to ask whether we have room.

Questions
Questions about this group.
My child is not toilet trained yet. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Plenty of children in this group are still in nappies. When you start training at home, tell us and we keep it going here so your child is not getting two different messages.
What if my toddler bites or hits?
It is common at this age and it is handled calmly and consistently, not punished. Toddlers do it because they have run out of words, so the fix is helping them find the words.
Do they still nap?
Yes, there is a quiet rest period in the day. Children who have outgrown the nap rest quietly rather than being made to sleep.

Ask whether we have space in toddlers.
Send us your child’s age and when you would like to start, and we will tell you honestly whether there is a place.
